Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Kurtz Street near Rosecrans Street [San Diego, CA]

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 26, 2023) – A man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Kurtz Street in San Diego Wednesday morning on August 23. According to the San Diego Police Department, a 30-year-old man was driving a Budget rental moving van eastbound in the 2800 block of Kurtz Street when he made a left turn into the Budget business around 10:30 a.m. Traffic had stopped to let the driver make the turn. At the same time, a 25-year-old man was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Kurtz Street. He passed the stopped traffic just east of Rosecrans Street and struck the front end of the van. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital for treatment. An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
